Client challenge:
To make the purchase of mobile phones, rate plans and mobile phone accessories available to consumers online.
Optus needed the site to offer information to all levels of users, from novice to expert, and provide online assistance for all visitors.
Solution summary:
The result is a site that allows users to shop online for all mobile phone accessories and needs, also offering monthly specials that are automated to rollover as the month ends.
The site is focussed on assisting all users, by providing online assistance for selecting a mobile phone with phone price comparisons, hottest deals, ‘freebies’ and complete after-sales service.
All information on the site has been designed to allow Optus to control data through a content management system. Developed using the Vignette 4.2 for Solaris, the site was built on an Oracle database allowing data to be quickly and easily maintained.
